Freehug Immunization Center

Although the center is near the Lake Sukchon and the Lotte Tower, it is surrounded by typical residential buildings in Seoul. The center is an oriental medicine specialty office building. The oriental medicine clinics are on the 4th and 5th floors. On the other floors are cafes, restaurants and commercial offices related in its specialty. The building exterior materials are mainly a combination of solid white stone and transparent glass. But, 5mm wire ropes are wrapped around the building with 5 centimeters spacing over the exterior walls. The wire ropes, which look like a transparent curtain, form a new sensation at the Freehug Immunization Center. The effect of a curtain wall made by continuous wire ropes makes the building look different depending on the viewing position and the angle of the sun. The exact nature of the wire ropes becomes visible as one approaches the building without recognizing the exact properties. The visual and tactile senses intersect each other according to the movement of the pedestrian.
